A: Unfortunately no, it is currently police policy only to
attend to monitored alarm systems, unless there is actual
evidence that a crime is in progress
A: When triggered your
alarm signals to an alarm receiving centre, who will call
you at home to verify the signal is genuine, they will ask
you for a unique password that you would have previously set-up
with your installing company, if you get it wrong, they will
alert the police.
A: Yes, your alarm can be programmed by the engineer so you
can part set at the push of a button, for example you can
set just the downstairs at night, leaving the upstairs free
for you to walk around.
A: No, your alarm will have a battery backup to take over
the system in the event of a power failure, this will keep
the system stable for at least 8 hours but usually much longer.
A: No if the fault is due to normal wear & tear and you
have a comprehensive maintenance plan.
